SKYLINE ROAD S

SKYLINE ROAD S (KUEBLER BOULEVARD S TO LIBERTY ROAD S) ROAD CLOSURE NOTIFICATION

News Release from City of Salem
Posted on FlashAlert: April 24th, 2015 8:49 AM

Skyline Road S, between Kuebler Boulevard S and Liberty Road S, will be closed to through traffic beginning May 1, 2015, while construction continues on the Skyline Road S widening project. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the closure area. Guests, customers, delivery vehicles, garbage pickup, postal delivery, school buses, and emergency vehicles will also have access to this area.

The attached detour map identifies an alternate route that may be used to avoid the closure area. In addition, motorists using Joseph Street S to access Liberty Road S or Kuebler Boulevard S (through Skyline Road S) should plan to use Cunningham Lane S or some other alternate route.

The Keep Salem Moving! Streets and Bridges Bond, passed by Salem voters in November 2009, provided funds for improvements to the Skyline Road S Corridor Improvements project.

We appreciate your patience during this road closure. Skyline Road S is scheduled to reopen in October 2015. Please contact Will Kuenzi, P.E., P.L.S., Project Engineer, at 503-588-6211 or wkuenzi@cityofsalem.net for additional information.
