The City of Salem announces a new Clean Streams, Clear Choices Facebook page that provides local water and natural resources related information and news. The Facebook page will serve as a community resource for teachers, professionals, job hunters, families, and you.
The site contains announcements about local events, workshops, and presentations; City of Salem water related and natural resources related job announcements; school resource information, including grant opportunities; actions community members are taking to improve and protect local streams; pollution prevention tips; awards; and more! Find us and like us at Facebook/CleanStreamsClearChoices.
The Clean Streams, Clear Choices program was developed as an outreach tool to help address elements of the City of Salem's Stormwater Management Program that is administered by the City's Public Works Department and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit administered by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. This program shares a simple message: our everyday behaviors affect streams and our choices make a difference. When people are well informed, the best choices for clean streams and the community are clear.
